Sept. 17, 2007 update:

my free podcast host Rizzn.net has ceased to exist since 2005, and I lost the

original files, so the audio podcast file in this post is forever gone, i guess.

Hey Gem,
It's JT from The John and Steve Show... Your scooter story reminded me of when I took a vacation to Bermuda two years ago. To get around the island you have to either us a bus, taxi or rent a scooter. The don't let non-residents drive cars in Bermuda because the roads are so narrow and they drive on the left side of the street. Anyway... It was a lot of fun to ride around Bermuda on a scooter, it is such a beautiful place to visit. However I think they give the tourist the SLOW scooters because I was going full blast all day and I kept getting past by all the locals riding their "faster" scooters (by the way, the people in Bermuda are the friendlies people I have ever met, except one old lady that worked at the airport). Anyway, It is just as well that the scooter was a tad slow because I most likely would have pushed my luck and wiped-out if I had gone any faster. Well... that my lame scooter story. Talk to you later! - JT

My God... My grammar sucks!... (see previous comment )

us = use
The = They
past = passed
friendlies = friendliest

I should become a writer, then I could run everything past my Editor first... :-)

hahaha, it's just your spelling/ typing skillzzz. your english teacher would flog you.

wow that's cool! did you have to present licenses? the scooter rental places here in tainan are pretty strict.

bermuda.. lkke that beach boys song..

they probably gave you 50cc bikes. that's the slowest. it probably won't go faster than 70kph. or is that 70mph?
and then there are 90cc bikes, 100cc, 150cc bikes... bigger and heavier..

Yeah, you had to show them a license but they didn't look at it very close... didn't even photo copy it.

The scooter only went about 35mph maximum... downhill... Thats about 56kph.

Funny fact about the Beach Boys song... 'Kokomo' is the only place in the song that is NOT a real place; They just thought it sounded cool!

(Technically there is a KoKomo, Indiana (( http://www.kokomo-in.org/ ))... but I think it is safe to say that the beach boys were not singing about it)

Beach Boys - Kokomo Lyrics

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go

Ooo I wanna take you down to Kokomo
We'll get there fast
And then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go
Way down to Kokomo...
